Andy Whitfield died today in Sydney, Australia. He was 39.
The star of "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" on Starz was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma last March 2011 which prompted him to leave the show.
Whitfield's wife issued a statement, saying her husband died on a "sunny Sydney morning" in the "arms of his loving wife."
